The relationship between Paul Mauser, Georg Luger, and Isidor Loewe is extremely complex, turbulent, and fascinating to study, with significant implications for the commercial and military success of the Luger and Mauser C96 pistols.
When and why did Georg Luger start working for Paul Mauser?
What did Georg Luger do to clash with Paul Mauser and end up in a court case?
Was Isidor Loewe able to act as a peacemaker between the two men?
What were the repercussions of this dispute on the Luger and the C96 pistols?
We will answer all these questions during the conference.
Mauro Baudino is the director of the Paul Mauser Archive, a leading firarms historian, and the author of numerous publications on the history of the Mauser company.
